VICKI SCHMIDT

Buckfield Fire Department

Buckfield, Maine

Sunday Morning 8:00 - 9:30 & 10:00 - 11:30

Synopsis

"Creating skill drills"

Solidification of knowledge and skills for practical application requires the establishment and implementation of proper training design. Not everything your fire department needs to learn or practice comes in a pre-canned course guide, training description or evolution. Are you a training officer or instructor wanting to better understand the basics of creating custom skills and drills? This class will provide the framework for creating your own knowledge-based and/or hands-on practical application drills. Goals of the class: determining objectives, identifying quality indicators, and practicing your ABCD's - (Audience, Behavior, Condition, Degree). Attendees are encouraged to arrive with an idea for up to a two-hour training they'd like to design for their department
